Programs.
Everything we run has the same shape: a safe place, an adult who believes in you, and something worth doing together.

Flagship program
Camp F.L.O.
Future Leaders of New Orleans. Outdoor adventure and literacy for middle school students in grades 5 to 8, especially those who have struggled with conflict at school. Kayaking, hiking, camping, reading circles and a project-based curriculum in emotional regulation and conflict resolution.

Free football and cheer camps
The program that started it all. A day of drills, teamwork and encouragement, at no cost to families. Coaches and former players run the field. Every kid leaves with a shirt and a reason to come back.

College tours
Bus trips to campuses so students can see themselves there. We have visited the University of Maryland, Howard University, Virginia Union, Dillard University and the University of New Orleans. Thousands of students have made the trip.

Mentoring and after-school enrichment
Weekly sessions in partner schools: reading, goal setting, conflict resolution and adults who keep showing up. Principal for a Day puts students in the leader's chair for a morning.

Stay Focused scholarship
College literacy and access support, and a scholarship for students who keep their promise to themselves. Applications open each spring.

Annual Charity Weekend
Our yearly gathering of supporters, alumni and partners. It funds the year ahead and reminds everyone why they signed up.
Bring a program to your students.
Schools, districts and community groups: tell us about your kids and we will tell you what we can build together.
